Welcome to 2nd grade at Laurel School! Before we begin this journey together, I thought I would tell you a little about myself. My name is Hannah Kolb. I grew up in the Franklin County Community Schools and consider it an honor to teach in the district. After graduating from Franklin County High School, I continued my education at Indiana University East. I graduated in 2007 and have been teaching ever since. I have taught 1st grade, Challenge (a gifted and talented program), and now 2nd grade.
I am married to Matt Kolb and we have two beautiful
children. They are our pride and joy!
My favorite thing about being a teacher is being able to make a positive impact on my students. I love watching them grow academically, independently, and socially. Second grade is a very important year in a child's life. They are continuing to practice the strategies and skills from first grade, and adding to those in order to become successful for third grade. I am excited to be your child's teacher this year and look forward to working with you in order to make this year successful for your child.
